Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to any information that we obtain through your use of “3 Crowns Technologies Services” via a “Device” or when you otherwise interact with 3 Crowns Technologies.

3 Crowns Technologies Services” include our:

  • Websites
  • SaaS Products – Coastalcoms
  • Downloadable Products

but does not include:

  • Coastalwatch products or services for which there is a separate privacy policy provided.
  • Third Party Products. These are any third party products or services that you may choose to integrate with 3 Crowns Technologies product or services, such as third party Add-Ons available using Bureau of Meteorology information. You should always review the policies of third party products and services to make sure you are comfortable with the ways in which they collect and use your information.

A “Device” is any computer used to access the 3 Crowns Technologies Services, including without limitation a desktop, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, or other consumer electronic device.

Unless otherwise stated, our SaaS Product (“Coastalcoms”) and our Downloadable Products are treated the same for the purposes of this policy.

By registering for, or using 3 Crowns Technologies Services, you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Definitions

Add-On: a bundle of code, resources and configuration files that can be used with a 3 Crowns Technologies product to add new functionality or to change the behavior of that product’s existing features.

Content: any information or data that you upload, submit, post, create, transmit, store or display in any 3 Crowns Technologies Service.

Downloadable Products: 3 Crowns Technologies’s downloadable software products and mobile applications, including Add-Ons created by 3 Crowns Technologies, that are installed by customers on an infrastructure of their choice. Downloadable Products do not include Add-Ons created by third parties, even when they are accessed through 3ctech.com.au, coastalcoms.com or available through the Coastalcoms SaaS product.

Information: encompasses all of the different forms of data, content, and information collected by us as described in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information: information that may be used to readily identify or contact you as an individual person, such as: name, address, email address, or phone number. Personal Information does not include information that has been made anonymous such that it does not allow for the ready identification of specific individuals.

SaaS Products: include 3 Crowns Technologies’s “Cloud” hosted solutions, as well as other 3 Crowns Technologies hosted solutions that display a link to this Privacy Policy (such as Coastalcoms). For the avoidance of doubt, if an 3 Crowns Technologies hosted solution displays a link to a different privacy policy, then that other privacy policy shall apply.

Websites: 3 Crowns Technologies websites, including but not limited, to coastalcoms.com, Coastalcoms.com, secureGO.com, and any related websites, sub-domains and pages.

Customer Data Usage and Transfer

Customers of 3 Crowns Technologies may electronically submit data or information to the Company’s SaaS services (“Customer Data”).

3 Crowns Technologies services will not review, share, transfer, distribute, or reference any such Customer Data to a third-party unless authorised by the customer via the 3 Crowns Technologies related products and services or as may be required by law. 3ctech.com.au may access Customer Data for the purposes of providing the services, preventing or addressing service or technical problems, at a Customer’s request in connection with customer support matters, or as may be required by law.

Legal requirements for data sharing

3 Crowns Technologies and its related sites and services will only release your information where an Australian law or a court/tribunal order explicitly states that we have a legal obligation to comply with the request and cannot choose to act differently.

Data storage, transfer and security

3 Crowns Technologies hosts data with hosting service providers in the United States and Australia. All 3 Crowns Technologies systems are secured behind firewalls to restrict access to non-public services that store sensitive and personal information. Access to these systems and services is using strong, passwords and encrypted channels. All communications with public services is via encrypted channels. Within the system, users are not able to access any personal information of other users outside their organisation, and within an organization, this information is restricted to names and email addresses only.

While we take reasonable efforts to guard your Personal Information and data, no security system is impenetrable and due to the inherent nature of the Internet as an open global communications vehicle, we cannot guarantee that information, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our systems or otherwise in our care, will be absolutely safe from intrusion by others, such as hackers. In addition, we cannot guarantee that any incidentally-collected Personal Information you choose to store in Websites or SaaS Products are maintained at levels of protection to meet specific needs or obligations you may have relating to that information.

Choice/Opt-Out

Our sites and services provide users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving newsletters from us and our partners when we send information or messaging.
